The Cathedral Close , Culture and Cars

Here's an electric car plugged in for recharging just outside one of the gateways into the Cathedral Keep.

Would you need to come back in fewer than four hours, I wonder??

Inside the Stone gateway was a lovely old building oddly called the Chauffeur's Cottage, recently home to an Arts organisation that coordinates and encourages grass-roots arts. In their courtyard was a fabulous garden with laser cut 44 gal drums made into pot planters. It won a prize at the Hampton Court Garden Show. I'll take photos of it another day. There's plenty happening on terms of music and plays, like any city of 186,000.

Before locating Chauffeur's Cottage I found a fabulous relaxed cafe filled with prints, spread over two floors. Two very Church of England men of the Cloth were having tea, so I asked them for directions to the Cathedral Close.
