The lull in postings was the result of a very busy long weekend socialising and setting up house. We were lucky to find a small place close to transport, shops and parks. There is a Primary School through the trees at the back, and some construction going on next to that, so I feel right at home! Peterborough is apparently the fastest growing place in the UK, so there is not an excess of accommodation.
Not much to post about the house, but today I was priviliged to visit a Mosaic and Textile artist who has her studio(s) at home. And would you believe it: she used to be a Social Worker. Her name is Kay Hall and she preparing work for the Peterborough Open Studios event in July.
My photos were taken with the iPad and don't really do justice to the vibrancy of her pieces.
First the machine-embroidered pictures.
...and a couple of mosaics
Doesn't that just make you want to rush home and start MAKING stuff!! Grace, I hope Leon and the boys are building you a nice Studio, now you're an exhibiting artist.

Yumyumyum kath this work is so delicious and inspirational...now you can further your own mosaic- ing, so pleased you have found this wonderful artist to get to know...xflossie
